Franz Ferdinand have confirmed that they will be headline V Festival.
The band will play Staffordshire's Weston Park on August 20 and Chelmsford's Hylands Park on August 21, alongside the Scissor Sisters.
Frontman Alex Kapranos said: "We heard about what a great festival V was to play last year and wished we could've been there. We're really excited to be playing the main stage and co-headlining with the Scissor Sisters - we'll be sure to give fans a performance to remember."
According to NME.com festival director Bob Angus said: "With Scissor Sisters, and now Franz Ferdinand confirmed to perform, we're confident that this year's V Festival will live up to its reputation for fantastic live music. There's more news to come and we look forward to unveiling an unparalleled main stage joint headline act, who, with these two acts, will make for unbeatable electric atmosphere!"
