FRANZ FERDINAND have revealed that they refused a US fast food chain's request to use one of their songs.
Frontman Alex Kapranos said a large Mexican chain - believed to be Taco Bell - wanted to use Bite Hard from the band's current album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, for an advertising campaign.
But he said they turned down the request because they didn't feel comfortable with it.
He said: "They asked if they could use our song 'Bite Hard and I think the idea was people were going to be biting into their chili enchilada while the song was in the background.
"It would be like going to McDonald's or something like that. It just didn't seem right."
