FRIENDLY FIRES star Jack Savidge is worried about missing the Mercury Music Prize after being admitted to hospital.
The drummer used his Twitter page to tell fans last night that he was being taken to hospital yesterday and admitted he was concerned he'd miss tonight's ceremony which takes place in London this evening.
His band are nominated to win the £20,000 cash prize and are also due to perform.
Savidge wrote: "Admitted to hospital with a fever and darkside purple rash on my leg. No idea whether I'm gonna be able to play at the Mercurys tomorrow.
He added several other Tweets and explained that he was passing the time in hospital by reading magazines.
Savidge said he regretted not placing a bet on fellow nominees The Horrors to win.
He wrote: "Horrors were 25/1 before the nominations were announced. Really kicking myself I didn't get on that."
