Owl John, the solo alias of Frightened Rabbit's Scott Hutchinson has announced his first solo tour as Owl John. Dates and details below.
With his self-titled release hitting record stores on 4 August, the tour dates will take Hutchinson through Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and London. The venture is Hutchinson's first attempts at a solo career while Frightened Rabbit enjoy a short hiatus following the 2013 release of their Pedestrian Verse album.
Speaking of the Owl John concept, Hutchinson says: “It's been about ten years since I had the notion to add the word 'Owl' as a middle name. Scott Owl John Hutchison. I thought it had a really splendid flow to it. I suppose I enjoy owls as much as most people, admiring their weird neck thing and having read 'Plop' countless times as a wee one."
