Funeral Party have revealed that they are in talks to support The Strokes on their upcoming comeback tour.
In an interview with Gigwise, guitarist James Torres said they had been approached after supporting Strokes singer Julian Casablancas on his solo jaunt last year.
The Strokes are due to release their new album 'Angles' in March and have outlined plans for a tour later this year.
Torres described Casablancas as “very down to earth” person and said that he was in a “different place” since The Strokes got back together.
“Hopefully we’ll be playing with The Strokes soon on the comeback tour,” he said. “It’s in the works. There are talks.”
Funeral Party released their debut album 'The Golden Age Of Knowhere' last month. Check out Gigwise's full Funeral Party interview now.
