Gary Barlow wants to duet with Tony Hadley.
The Take That star and the Spandau Ballet singer - who became friends because they have both been criticised for their "fluctuating weight" - plan to start working on their collaboration later this year.
Tony said: "I'm hoping to start writing with Gary after the Spandau shows and we've started talking about it. I love Gary, he's great."
1980s hitmakers Spandau Ballet recently announced they have reunited, 20 years after they went their separate ways.
Tony has claimed the group was brought back together through alcohol. He said: "We had a few pints together and actually got on extremely well. We realised what a great force the five of us were.
"It took a while but it's amazing what beer can do. It's been nice to bury the hatchet, but not in each other's heads."
Tony and the other members - John Keeble, Gary Kemp, Martin Kemp and Steve Norman - have confirmed they will play a reunion tour in October.
