The 40-year-old singer and X Factor judge last performed his own dates 11 years ago, following the group's 1996 split, but has decided that the time has come to go it alone and play two fundraising shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Money from the concerts on December 5 and 6 will go to the Prince's Trust and the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Barlow told The Mirror, 'I hope the money raised through these concerts will make a real difference to young lives.
'It's really important to me that disadvantaged young people get the support they need, especially at the moment.'
