Country great George Jones has been fighting a resperatory infection for quite awhile and has once again been admitted to a hospital in Nashville.
His official site posted:
Today, Country Music Hall of Fame member George Jones was admitted into a Nashville area hospital, where he will undergo testing and evaluation for a lingering upper respiratory infection. Concerts scheduled through June will be rescheduled, where possible.
No more details are available at this time.
Jones was originally hospitalized on March 29 for an upper respiratory infection and, even though it was announced he would only be in overnight, he ended up staying for a number of days. Over the next two months, he has cancelled over ten shows in both the United States and Canada including a planned appearance this weekend with Loretta Lynn at her ranch. Lynn posted on her website:
"All my love and prayers go out to My good friend George Jones, who is in the hospital sick right now, and can't be with us this weekend. But we hope to have him back real soon . See y'all Saturday at my ranch concert." - Loretta Lynn
