GERI HALLIWELL has got engaged to her Italian boyfriend after a two-month whirlwind romance.
Shipping tycoon Fabrizio Politi proposed to the former Spice Girl just weeks after they met in a Florence nightclub at Christmas.
The multi-millionaire yacht builder reportedly presented her with a £220,000 diamond ring and she immediately said yes.
In a statement, Halliwell's management firm 19, said: "We are delighted to announce the engagement of Geri Halliwell and Fabrizio Politi.
"As a token of their commitment to each other Fabrizio presented Geri with an engagement ring over the festive season.
"There are no immediate plans for marriage as the couple are enjoying their engagement."
The couple met in December and have been inseparable ever since, going on holiday to the Maldives, Paris and Italy.
A friend of the star said Halliwell, 36, was "ecstatic" and her daughter Bluebell had really taken to Politi, 34.
They added: "Fabrizio makes Geri blissfully content. It feels right and they are both very happy."
The singer has previously been linked to comedian David Walliams, American actor Jerry O'Connell and former Take That star Robbie Williams.
She split from Bluebell's father, screenwriter Sacha Gervasi just before her daughter's birth in May 2006 and recently had a brief romance with dancer Ivan Valez.
