The group announced that they would be taking a hiatus in July 2009 but with Cheryl Cole's failed US X Factor attempt and Nadine Coyle's debut solo single Insatiable having failed to set the charts alight, it looks like the time has come to reform.
According to The Mirror, Nadine and Cheryl have kissed and made up, with Nadine – who split with fiancé Jason Bell earlier this month - even ringing her bandmate to offer her support after the X Factor fiasco.
And the rest of Girls Aloud – Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh are all said to have agreed to start afresh.
A source told the newspaper, 'All is forgiven between Nadine and the rest of the band. It's all water under the bridge.
'They're excited they're going to be making a fresh start together on this next adventure of their lives.
'In six months' time it'll be back to work as normal – they are itching to get back in the studio.'
But this time around, the girls will be writing their own material based on their recent experiences, rather than with their old hit-makers Xenomania.
