GIRLS ALOUD said they are desperately trying to free up their busy schedule to play at Jade Goody's wedding.
The girls said they were doing everything they could to try and be free to perform at the reality star's wedding on Sunday.
Jade Goody, who shot to fame in 2002 after appearing on Big Brother, was diagnosed with cervical cancer last summer but this weekend was told the disease has spread and she has just months to live.
She will marry her boyfriend Jack Tweed in Essex this weekend and requested that Girls Aloud to play at the ceremony.
Speaking at the Brit Awards last night, band member Sarah Harding said that they were doing everything they could to try and perform for her.
She said: "We have had contact from Jade's people about performing at her wedding.
"It's now in the hands of our management. We are desperately trying to re-arrange our schedule so we can do it. It's a very sad thing to have to discuss."
Girls Aloud won the Best British Single award at the BRIT Awards for 'The Promise'.
