Figurehead of legendary indie band Guided By Voices, Robert Pollard, has announced a five album, ten-month spree.
The AV Club has noted that while he's busy with a Guided By Voices reunion tour, Pollard's five albums will be with four new groups, as well as a solo effort.
The first album Our Cubehouse Rocks due out in September will be with the Boston Spaceships band, as will the last album, which will be called Let It Beard and will feature guest spots from members of Dinosaur Jr., Wire, The Dirtbombs, King Missle and Dream Syndicate.
In between he'll record with his Lifeguards project with ex-GBV guitarist Doug Gillard called Waving AT The Astronauts. That album's due in October.
Then there's the so-far-untitled album with his new group Mars Classroom (with Big Dipper's Gary Waleik), which will be out in March next year.
Somewhere in there he'll punch out a solo album too.
Pollard already has more than 1,300 songs registered with BMI. Wow.
