Guns N Roses co-founder and bassist Duff McKagan celebrates the release of his new autobiography, 'It's So Easy (and other lies)' with two in-store appearances at hmv stores starting at hmv's Donnegall Arcade store in Belfast on Wednesday 2nd November 2011.
Duff will be at the store from 1.00 pm to meet fans and sign copies of the new book which is published through Orion.
Next up Duff heads over to hmv's High Street store in Leicester on Sunday 6th November 2011 for another signing session kicking off at 1.00 pm.
Duff charts the rise of the group, and his own fall, as with success came heavy drinking and drug use, culminating in his hospitalisation for acute pancreatitis in 1994. Forced to sober up, Duff started taking an interest in business, eventually completing a degree in Economics and making a killing on the stock market.
With a 13-year tenure on bass in what was at the time the biggest band on earth and as well as pulling together the classic line-up (Slash on guitar, Steven Adler on drums, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin and vocalist Axl Rose), Duff was the unofficial musical director of the band and the most experienced musician, and played bass, drums and guitar, as well as co-writing many of the songs.
Duff will only be signing copies of his autobiography. Due to time restraints there will no opportunity for posed photos, please do not present any items of merchandise as refusal may offend.
