Guns N Roses reunited with bassist Duff McKagan, to play their first gig together in 17 years in Argentina last night (Sunday 6 April, 2014).
McKagan was bassist in the rock icons' classic line-up, and after Tweeting the news last week, he rejoined Axl Rose and co onstage in Buenos Aires for the first of a string of South American shows. He has temporarily rejoined the band filling in for Tommy Stinson, who's playing with The Replacements at Coachella.
Taking full advantage of rejoining GNR, McKagan sang lead on a cover of Misfits' classic 'Attitude' - the first time the band have played it since 1993. They also played 'Raw Power' by The Stooges for the first time ever, alongside covers of Led Zeppelin’s 'Babe I’m Gonna Leave You', The Who’s 'Seeker', and Wings’ 'Live and Let Die' - not to mention a career-spanning set of their own originals.
They even covered 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina', which is pretty cool.
