Harry Styles Calls Post-Breakup Taylor Swift A 'Sweet Girl'

Harry Styles and Taylor Swift may no longer be a couple, but that doesn't mean he has any hard feelings towards her. The One Direction singer shared some kind words about the Grammy-winner after last month's breakup.

In a chat with U.K. radio station Capital FM, the 1D heartthrob noted he's doing "good" in the wake of the split, even showering Swift's performing style with praise. "She's a great performer. She always performs great and she's always good on the stage," Styles said in the interview, E! reports. (The audio has since been removed from Capital FM's website).

He also seemed to shrug off the maybe-dis that some suggested Swift threw his way at the Grammys during "We Are Never Getting Back Together." He added, "She's done it for a long time. She knows what she's doing onstage. It was just another good Taylor Swift performance. It was good."

When asked if the media frenzy around his breakup bothered him, Styles said he recognized the need for gossip. "I understand why people would want to know stuff like that. I get it. I'd want to know about it too."

Swift and Styles will be reunited on Wednesday, where both are set to perform at the Brit Awards. In another interview with Grazia magazine, he noted he wasn't concerned about running into her during the February 20 broadcast. He said, "I'm not worried about seeing her at all. She's a sweet girl, you know. I don't have a bad word to say about her."

The guys will perform their Comic Relief charity single, "One Way or Another," during the awards show, and he added to Grazia, "It's amazing to have such a big platform for that." The video for the track is set for release this Thursday.
