Harry Styles has branded the rumours about his sexuality "ridiculous".
The One Direction heartthrob has been the subject of gossip due to his friendship with British DJ Nick Grimshaw. The pair have been spotted wearing each other's clothes and often party together in London. Harry has now laughed off rumours he is gay, and insists he isn't romantically involved with his pal.
"We're not dating, no. We're just friends," he told the latest edition of British magazine GQ. "Bisexual? Me? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I'm not... Some of the [rumours] are funny. Some of them are ridiculous. Some of them are annoying. I don't want to be one of those people that complains about the rumours.
"I never like it when a celebrity goes on Twitter and says, 'This isn't true!' It is what it is; I tend not to do that."
Since shooting to fame with One Direction, Harry has been romantically linked to a host of beautiful women and previously dated Taylor Swift. Although the 19-year-old singer can easily brush off speculation about his sexuality, he admits it can be frustrating when it impacts on his loved ones.
"The only time it gets really annoying is that if you get into a relationship and you get into a place where you really like someone and then things are being written in the papers that affect them and how they see you. Then it can get annoying," he explained.
Harry's bandmate Louis Tomlinson has also been subjected to speculation and was accused of being gay by rival boyband The Wanted. He insists he is attracted to females, but doesn't find it difficult turning down overzealous fans.
"The type of girls that want to sleep with you in a heartbeat aren't the type of girls I'd want to take home," he revealed.
Niall Horan claims the group's hectic schedule leaves little time to relax and meet ladies.
"We go back on the road straight after a show and we're gone. I wish we did have time for girls and parties but we don't," he added.
