Hilary Duff thinks Sophie Monk is "an angel".
The singer and actress is currently in Australia on a promotional tour and took the time to catch up with her friend and radio DJ Sophie. During their chat on 2DayFM Breakfast's show, the 26-year-old recalled a time when her pal came to her rescue.
"I had a car accident and Sophie comes out of nowhere, on a rainy day in LA, like an angel," Hilary explained.
"This girl hit me, she rear-ended me, and tried to run. And Sophie took her [own] car and blocked her off. I'm like, 'Sophie?' and she's like, 'Oh my God, Hilary!'"
The English-born Australian singer, model and actress happened to see the crash take place and stopped the guilty party from fleeing the scene, taking down the car's number plate.
It isn't the only road incident the former Lizzie McGuire star has had. She was hit with a lawsuit following a 2010 car accident in which she was accused of crashing her Range Rover into another vehicle and causing injury.
"I've had a few [accidents], mostly with my own house though. So that's a good thing, it's always best when there is only one person involved," she admitted. "I've hit my garage a few times. Sometimes I've pulled in too tight. I've always had a big car so I've pulled in and scratched it, things like that."
The girls enjoyed a real trip down memory lane during their catch up, recalling how they first met when they were dating Joel and Benji Madden nearly a decade ago.
"We were dating twins. Does that mean we're part of some weird sisterhood or something?" Hilary joked. "She [Sophie] was always cool when I wanted to trade [twins]."
