Hot Chip main-men Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard have spoken of their dislike for today's pop music, citing Tulisa as one of the current scene's worst offenders.
In a new interview with The Guardian, the dance-band stars speak of modern pop artists and their 'factory' sound, saying they make music that 'tries to correct everything'.
"They take out all the flaws that make everything really loveable for me," says Goddard, who has also found success with personal project The 2 Bears. "Pop music's become quite conservative in a lot of ways."
Hot Chip frontman Alexis Taylor added: "There's quite a lot of cynicism now about how to make pop records and what the point of it is. I saw the lady from N-Dubz on a chatshow and they were asking how she felt about the band splitting up. She just talked about having to pay her mortgage as being the main issue."
Hot Chip recently debuted the video for their comeback track 'Day + Night', a track which sounds nothing like 'We Are Young' by Tulisa. Fortunately. Watch 'Day + Night' below.
