Howling Bells will be playing the Uncut arena at Latitude festival, which takes places between 17th - 20th July in Suffolk. Music News caught up with the Australian four-piece to find our how they're going to spend their time at the festival.
Who are you most looking forward to seeing at this year's Latitude
festival?
I'm excited to see Sigur Ros again, as they put on a magnificent show, and
Crystal Castles purely for their great energy. I'm also looking forward to seeing Interpol, because I've loved them forever.
What aspect of Latitude Festival interests you the most?
I guess that the fact that the festival acknowledges various genres of
music, art and culture is a real turn on for everyone. Latitude is kind of like the hot geek at school, you know, a lil' Leelee Sobieski in 'Never Been Kissed'; she's cultured and sexy and way eccentric. That's how I feel about
Latitude, a little nerdy, but profoundly cooler than the rest.
What can people expect you to bring to the festival and do you have
anything special planned?
We're in the process of finishing our second record, so definitely a whole lot of new songs. We're anxious but excited, as it'll be one of our first few
shows since the last tour.
If you weren't doing this what would you be doing?
Anything involved in the arts, fashion, media, and culture. I have to love what I do.
What is your favourite colour for sheep?
Aubergine.
