IAN BROWN has been arrested on suspicion of attacking his wife.
Neighbours of the former Stone Roses frontman called the police to the Kensington home he shares with and his Mexican wife Fabiola Quiroz last night after they heard a disturbance.
Quiroz, 37, a photographer, model and actress, allegedly told officers she had been attacked by Brown, 46, who was taken into custody but later released on bail.
A spokesperson for Scotland Yard said: "A 46-year-old man was arrested at the address and taken to a police station."
Brown and Quiroz were married in 1999 and have a nine-year-old son, Emilio.
Ian fronted the Stone Roses for 12 years until their 1996 split.
In 1998 he was jailed for four months for using threatening behaviour towards a British Airways stewardess, whose hands he allegedly threatened to cut off, after she mistakenly offered him duty-free booze.
He also banged on the cockpit door and threatened the captain on the flight from Paris to Manchester.
