As leader of MOTT THE HOOPLE and highly renowned solo artist, IAN HUNTER has produced a matchless repertoire of music combining homage, honesty and killer hooks. He was one of the toughest and most inventive writers of the early 70s paving the way for punk rock with his thought provoking and gritty songs. As a solo performer he has also succeeded with an eclectic catalogue of superbly intelligent albums and a dedicated following.
MOTT THE HOOPLE recorded one of the most instantly recognisable and enduring hits of the 70s, 'All The Young Dudes', and went on to score further hit singles with 'Honaloochie Boogie', 'All The Way From Memphis' and 'Roll Away The Stone' amongst others. Their 1973 album 'Mott' is an acknowledged classic and frequently cited as a major influence on the punk movement.
Ian also forged a successful parallel career as a producer working with Billy Idol's GENERATION X, ELLEN FOLEY and HANOI ROCKS.
'SHRUNKEN HEADS' is Ian Hunter's 12th solo album, released 32 years on from the eponymous debut.
