IRON MAIDEN were awarded Best British Band at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards last night.
It is the second year in a row the rockers have received the accolade.
The Run to the Hills hitmakers led the prize giving at London's IndigO2 venue as they were also handed the ceremony's highest honour - the Golden God award.
Slipknot were also double winners at the event - landing the prizes for Best International Act and Best Live Band.
Def Leppard took home the Legends Award, while Five Finger Death Punch was named Best New Band.
