Overview
Rappers Ja Rule and Lil Wayne have been arrested in New York in separate incidents.
Both were charged with criminal possession of an illegal weapon.
Wayne (real name Dwayne Carter) was apparently arrested at 11.30pm last night (July 22nd) after being pulled up for smoking marijuana with another unnamed individual.
When taken into custody, police officers reportedly found a .40 calibre pistol.
Rule (real name Jeff Atkins) was arrested an hour earlier for speeding.
