Ja Rule is facing a potential two-year jail sentence for gun possession.
The rapper pleaded guilty to possessing a gun in a Manhattan court yesterday (December 13), reports BBC News. The charge relates to an incident in 2007 when police found the weapon in his car after stopping him for speeding.
The star is now set to return to court on February 9, then again at a later date for sentencing. He would have faced up to 15 years in jail but because of a plea deal he made can serve two, likely to include a period of supervised release. He will remain free until his sentencing.
