Jack White has claimed he was asked appear on Kanye West's Yeezus, and has made "several unfinished tracks" with Jay Z.
Possibly attempting to increase his street cred in anticipation of his second solo LP, Lazaretto, the former White Stripes frontman told Rolling Stone Kanye had asked him to submit to latest release, Yeezus.
None of White's submissions ended up on Yeezus (sadface), but it seems White harbours no bad feelings for the rapper, praising his live Yeezus show. "That might have been the greatest show I've seen in my life," he gushed. "It was more punk, more in-your-face than anything I've seen."
Hopefully White can leave all these failed collaborations with rappers in the past - his second solo record, Lazaretto, is due out on June 10. It's the follow up to his solo debut Blunderbuss, which recieved widespread critical acclaim.
