Jack White last night tuned up at Dublin's Trinity College last night to give a lecture.
The White Stripes frontman addressed the University's Philosophical Society about his musical beliefs and philosophy with a speech he had clearly thought through in detail.
Jack White, who is currently touring with his new project The Dead Weather, was awarded the honorary patronage from the society, which is one of the oldest being founded in the 17th century.
White also revealed that when he was in a previous band called The Upholsterers and worked in an upholstery shop in Detroit he hid 100 Eps in furniture that he upholstered.
Now believed to be worth a fortune it could see many people slashing their sofas to find the rare transparent disc.
