Jack White will launch his solo career with a performance on US sketch show Saturday Night Live next month.
The singer will appear on the show on March 3, hosted by actress Lindsay Lohan.
The former White Strpies member will also play a series of shows across the US in March followed by a slot at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend on June 23-24 in London.
As previously reported the line-up for the event will also include Plan B, Lana Del Rey and The Maccebees.
Earlier this month, Jack White debuted a new track online.
The track, entitled 'Machine Gun Silhouette', will be included as B-side to his upcoming debut solo single 'Love Interruption'.
White's solo album 'Blunderbuss', will be released on Third Man / XL Recordings on April 23.
White, who produced and recorded the album himself, said: ''Blunderbuss' is an album I couldn't have released until now. I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name.
''These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas.''
The duo of Jack and Meg White announced last February that they had no plans to record together or play live again.
They said they had come to decision to protect the band's legacy and thanked fans for supporting them “throughout the 13 plus years of The White Stripes intense and incredible career”.
