Jaden Smith ‘hires bodyguard’

Jaden is only 12 years old, although he is fast becoming one of the world’s hottest stars, so much so that he is said to have needed a security guard to accompany him to a recent celebrity bash.

Sources told the New York Post Jaden arrived at Disney star Jake T. Austin's 16th birthday celebrations at the weekend with security protection.

The talented youngster, who wowed critics with his performance in this year’s hit remake of The Karate Kid, partied with the likes of Selena Gomez, Chelsea Staub, Jennifer Stone and Boo Boo Stewart.

The star-studded event took place at a yet-to-open playhouse at Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel. Apparently Jaden impressed fellow revellers with his dance moves, although the reluctant star had to leave early due to his curfew.

"Jaden won a dance-off with another kid. When the girls asked him to go out after the party he said, 'I'm only 12, I've got to go home to my parents,’" added a source.

As the son of Hollywood stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Jaden is a member of one of the world’s most famous families, with his 10-year-old sister Willow currently making a name for herself as a pop star.
