James Blunt has hit out and slammed Damon Albarn for hiding his upper class roots, claiming the Blur frontman is not the every-man he pretends to be.
Blunt, who has perhaps become better known for spamming THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF THE UK with news of his recent releases, hit out at the newly-solo Britpop icon in an interview with The Sun newspaper, making references to plums and Albarn's bottom.
"I was just the only one who didn't hide my accent," said Blunt in the tabloid interview. "I mean, come on, Damon Albarn, he's right up there. He's got an orchard full of plums in his mouth and a silver spoon stuck up his arse."
Blunt made headlines in July 2013 when an email announcing his new single was sent to every email address on his record label's database, spamming tens of thousands of people across the UK with the exciting news. He later apologises for the 'dear friend' message, taking to Twitter to laugh off the mailout-gone-wrong, writing: "Oops... Just emailed the whole of the UK by mistake! Ha."
