James Morrison has just unveiled a tour of the biggest UK venues he's ever played. The Arena tour will start in Cardiff on November 25th, go through Wembley on the 26th and end up at Aberdeen Arena on December 4th. The new dates follow a very successful eight months for James that has seen him sell out two UK tours, one including the Albert Hall and has now sold over a million copies of his latest album 'Songs For You, Truths For Me' worldwide.
Songs For You… debuted at #3 when it was released on 29th September, but it was the release of 'Broken Strings' (a duet with Nelly Furtado) which has become his most successful single yet, that has helped make the album one of this year's biggest UK sellers.
James, who won a Brit award in 2007 for Best British Male has just finished a tour of the US which included a set at Coachella and is currently preparing a video for his next single 'Nothing Ever Hurt Like Love' out on July 13th.
James' voice has been described and praised in many different ways, by many different people, but the description that really resonates is the late Atlantic Records legend Jerry Wexler's: 'Above all his is a voice with its own thumbprint. Hear it once and you'll forever recognise it.
James will be appearing at the following venues at the end of the year:
Nov 25 Cardiff Arena
Nov 27 Wembley Arena
Nov 28 Birmingham NEC
Nov 29 Manchester Evening News Arena
Dec 1st Nottingham Arena
Dec 3rd Glasgow SECC
