Pulp frontman and withering Brit wit Jarvis Cocker is set to release a book of his lyrics.
The Quietus reports that the lanky lad will release the lyrics book Mother, Brother, Lover: Selected Lyrics in October through Faber and Faber.
Cocker spoke about the book and his lyricism, noting 'it's not like you really want to write words, but if you're the singer you've got to. That's how it happened to me.'
He also revealed his embarrassing first couplets from a song called 'Shakespeare Rock', which still hint on his arch and often lovelorn lyricism.
"Got a a baby / only one thing's wrong / Quote Shakespeare all day long / I said baby why are you ignoring me / She said to be or not to be."
The release of the book is just another part of the Pulp revival, with their reunion gigs happening O.S. and coming to Australia soon with Splendour In The Grass and the sideshows.
