Jay-Z wants to work with Amy Winehouse.
The hip-hop mogul – who helped launch the singer in America when he remixed her track 'Rehab' – loves Amy's "powerful" voice and hopes to join producer Mark Ronson in the studio to help on her forthcoming album.
He said: "Amy has a really powerful voice. It is so distinctive and beautiful. Hopefully in the future we could get together and work on some new material – I'd love to work with her again."
Meanwhile, Amy has forbidden troubled Babyshambles rocker Pete Doherty – who, like Amy, has battled drug addiction – from helping to launch the singing career of her 13-year-old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield.
A source said: "Pete and Dionne get on like a house on fire but Amy is really protective of her and doesn't think a duet with Pete is the right thing to do at the moment.
"The last thing she wants is for Dionne to make the same mistakes she did.
"Pete is upset but he understands. As soon as he has sorted himself out and Dionne's made more of a name for herself, the duet will definitely be on the cards."
