Watching Jennifer Lopez shimmy about in her just-released "Goin' In" video, you might forget that the well-toned singer also happens to be a mom to 4-year-old twins. It's a job that the performer puts at the top of her extensive résumé — ahead of movie star, business mogul, dancer/singer.
"Mommy. It's just the one thing you don't want to mess up," she told on Wednesday night during "MTV First" when she premiered her neon-colored music video, which also featured the track's collaborators, Flo Rida and Lil Jon."You can mess up in all other areas and get back up, but you don't want to mess up there."
Lopez, who is currently on the road with Enrique Iglesias, explained that Emme and Max are always her number-one priority. "They're so precious to you and they make everything better in my life," she added. "They make me feel better every single day. Definitely, it's the most important thing."
While it's hard for those outside that inner circle to see J.Lo as anything other than a glittering chart-topper, her two children see the woman behind the hair and costumes. Well, at least one of them does. "You know, my daughter gets very excited [when I perform] and then my son says nothing," she said. "But then, like, we'll be in the car randomly, and yesterday he says to me, 'Mommy you're a great singer.' And I was like, 'Thank you, baby.' No fanfare with it ... just matter-of-factly, 'I think you're good.' And of course, that made my day."
In addition to her duties as mom, Lopez also dropped her latest album, a greatest hits compilation called Dance Again ... The Hits, which features "Goin' In." The track also appears on the "Step Up Revolution" soundtrack.
