Jennifer Lopez thinks it's "funny" that her new album is being created so quickly.
The singer-and-actress released her last record Love? in 2011. The hard-working star performed around the world on her Dance Again World Tour the next year.
Jennifer is now producing some fresh music and she is surprised by how rapidly everything is moving.
"It's funny, I didn't expect to have a record out this soon," she revealed during an On Air with Ryan Seacrest radio interview.
"I just got off tour … and I went right back in the studio. I was really inspired from performing and singing all the time."
Jennifer collaborated with rapper Pitbull on a forthcoming track that is due out soon.
Despite the fast pace Jennifer is feeling at peace with the process.
"I was like, 'I just want to make more music,' and then Pit got on this record after the Grammys and then the record company was like, 'We have to put this out for the summer.' " she explained.
"And I was like, 'Wow wait, OK, yes I'm happy about that.' But now it's about getting the record together, but I still have till November, so I have plenty of time."
Jennifer served as a judge on TV singing competition American Idol for two seasons from 2011 to 2012.
Now that Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey have confirmed they are leaving the programme, Jennifer is unsure whether she will return to her panelist post.
"I don't know what's happening over there," Jennifer admitted. "I don't know. We will see. I'm always open to the infinite possibilities that the universe has to offer. So you never know.
"I was emotional about [leaving]. I just had such a good time there. It fit … I felt like family [and] I get emotionally attached."
