Jennifer Lopez says the only thing she doesn't want to "mess up" in life is being a "mommy".
The songstress has four-year-old twins Max and Emme from her marriage to Marc Anthony. Jennifer has a wealth of responsibilities in her life, including her thriving music career, beauty businesses and burgeoning acting career, but says parenthood is the most important job of all.
"Mommy. It's just the one thing you don't want to mess up," she told MTV News on Wednesday night during MTV First when she premiered her new music video for Goin' In.
"You can mess up in all other areas and get back up, but you don't want to mess up there.
"They're so precious to you and they make everything better in my life. They make me feel better every single day. Definitely, it's the most important thing."
Jennifer says her children appreciate her performances - but in very different ways. The 43-year-old star appreciates their unwavering honesty.
"You know, my daughter gets very excited [when I perform] and then my son says nothing," she explained.
"But then, like, we'll be in the car randomly, and yesterday he says to me, 'Mommy you're a great singer.' And I was like, 'Thank you, baby.' No fanfare with it ... just matter-of-factly, 'I think you're good.' And of course, that made my day."
