Jennifer Lopez says she can go "15 rounds" like a boxer when it comes to taking hits in her career.
The songstress has had considerable success in the music, TV and film industries. However, it hasn't always been plain sailing for the star.
In V magazine's new Sports Issue Jennifer has discussed her determined attitude when it comes to overcoming setbacks in her career.
"I can take a lot of punches and still keep going," she explained to the magazine. "I've been trained like a boxer to go 15 rounds."
Jennifer also discussed her relationship with estranged husband Marc Anthony. The former couple are currently appearing in TV talent show Q'Viva: The Chosen.
The 42-year-old mother-of-two says they keep their personal and professional lives separate in order to make the show a success.
"I mean, we're parents and friends first," she insisted. "That will be the thread that ties us together. I don't know if people expect it to be negative just because the relationship didn't work out."
Despite her success, Jennifer has also faced harsh criticism for some projects, including her box office flop The Back-up Plan.
The beauty maintains philosophical about garnering success.
"You're not going to hit the target or the bull's-eye every time. That's part of it," she said.
"At the end of the day, I made those choices. I've been in the business now, I don't want to say how many years.
"You have amazing moments of recognition and success. But at this point in my life, I try to take it all with a grain of salt.'
