Jennifer Lopez learnt from a young age that she had power over men.
The singer is considered one of the hottest women in showbiz and is particularly lusted after for her amazing curves. She's always played up to this sexy image because she knows the effect it has on people.
"Men were watching me walk by and whistling at me," she recalled in Germany's Cosmopolitan magazine, adding she was just 12 when she first noticed it. "That's when I realised I had a certain power over men."
Now she's super successful and holds power in many ways. As well as music, she's appeared in films and starred in make-up campaigns for the likes of L'Oréal. But she didn't do it to get respect from others.
"I always just wanted to prove to myself that I can do it, no one else," she said. "I never wanted to wear broken shoes again."
Jennifer has grown greatly over the years and she's learnt how to be her own best friend. Following three divorces, she's also learnt it's OK to be single.
"Most importantly, to love myself first. As women, I don't think we do that enough. We always love somebody else more than ourselves," she previously told Britain's The Telegraph newspaper.
"I did that for a long time and I couldn't understand why things weren't working. Then I realised that I wasn't valuing myself in the way that I deserved.
"You accept things that are less than what you want, and then you wonder why you find yourself in these situations. You think, 'I wouldn't treat anyone in this way so why am I being treated like this?'"
