Jennifer Lopez ‘needs time out from Casper’

Jennifer Lopez reportedly "needs time out" from her romance with Casper Smart.

The 43-year-old singer is said to be questioning her nine-month relationship with the backing dancer because she is worried whether his motives are genuine.

Recent accusations that Casper visited an exotic massage parlour were dismissed as "false and defamatory" but added to the strain on the couple.

"They had an argument and she said it may be best for them to spend some time apart. She said she wasn't breaking up with him, but they could do with taking some steps back," a source revealed.

"She's told Casper she didn't intend to get so serious so soon after her marriage break-up. She still wants to be with him, but she needs to take some time out."

The tensions between Jennifer and Casper made the star wonder if she has rushed into the romance.

The couple got together shortly after Jennifer's split from husband Marc Anthony in 2011 and they moved in together at the beginning of the year.

"While Jen doesn't believe the allegations, she does sometimes worry about why Casper is with her. He says he'd love her if she was 'nobody', but Jen has been burnt in the past," a source told British magazine Closer.
