New judge J.Lo admits being critical of contestants on the talent competition is not that easy.
She told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday: 'I really want to put them through the wringer in the sense that I don't want to let anybody really great go.'
As auditions for the tenth series of 'Idol' get underway, the Back-up Plan star said she has so far been 'tough, easy and fair' on the contestants.
The 41-year-old added that she also expects the contestants to have their own individual style.
She said: 'It's definitely part of a package when you're going to be an artist.'
Other new judge, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, 62, added: 'It's very hard, I try to judge them fairly.'
