Jennifer Lopez says she has to remind herself that she's "not curing cancer" whenever she gets nervous about performing.
The multi-talented performer has just started her first headlining tour and admits to getting the jitters.
She told Entertainment Tonight that although she has performed many times before, this is the first time she is going to be in front of arena size crowds.
"That first night in Panama for me was a bit nerve-wracking," she said about the gig in South America prior to the world tour kicking off in Canada.
But when things get a bit crazy she has to remind herself to not get "overwhelmed" and she takes it "one hour at a time" in order to remain sane.
"It's not rocket science," she says to herself to bring down her heart rate. "I'm not curing cancer. I'm just entertaining."
"I had to remind myself, as much work as it is, and as much as I want to do well, everybody there wants to do their best and be successful," she shared.
"At the end of the day those people are there to have fun. You have fun, they have fun. Then it's a successful night, and so that's what we do."
