Leave it to Jack White to put his touch on another of music's greats. After previously working with the likes of Loretta Lynn and Wanda Jackson, White will now put his magic touch on The Killer, Jerry Lee Lewis.
Lewis will perform on Record Store Day, April 16, at White's Third Man Records in Nashville and the session will be recorded (analog) direct to tape. White will then engineer the tape, have it pressed on his label and made available for sale "within weeks."
An all-star band has been assembled for the appearance, including guitarist Steve Cropper, drummer Jim Keltner and bass player Jack Lawrence of White's bands The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs.
Lewis's latest album, Mean Old Man, was released last September.
