Jesus & Mary Chain add extra Psychocandy live shows - tickets

Jesus & Mary Chain have added two extra live shows to their 2014 schedule, where they will be playing their iconic 1985 album Psychocandy in full. Dates below.

The band will now perform two live shows in total, with the additional shows taking place at London's Troxy and Glasgow Barrowlands - where they were already scheduled to play in November this year. The band's 2014 schedule is now as follows. New shows are in bold.

21 – Barrowlands, Glasgow
23 – Barrowlands, Glasgow
24 – Troxy, London

The Psychocandy album, which was released on Alan McGee's Creation label, is one of the most influential shoegaze albums of all time.

McGee commented: "When they released this album in 1985 they were the best band in world – this is just a fact. A truly seminal rock n roll band, without them so many other bands after them would have never found there [sic] way forwards in a musical sense. The first band I ever worked with that I loved and 30 years later still love."
