Joe McElderry will get his number one song in England afterall. On midweek sales figures from the UK, Rage Against The Machine's impact from last week has fizzled.
That Facebook campaign that got the Rage Against The Machine 'Killing In The Name' song to number one in Christmas week as a rage against Simon Cowell was shortlived.
This week, X-Factor winner Joe McElderry has sold almost twice as many singles as Rage Against The Machine.
On midweek sales, 'The Climb' by Joe McElderry had sold around 80,000 copies compared to Rage Against The Machine 'Killing In The Name' at around 40,000.
Last week, Rage's song sold 500,000 to McElderry's 450,000.
Michael Buble might also overtake Susan Boyle this week on the UK album chart. Midweek, his album 'Crazy Love' was 5,000 units ahead of her 'I Dreamed A Dream'.
