THE CRIBS have said they look on Johnny Marr as a "normal" member of the band.
The former Smiths guitarist joined the rock band last year, and they revealed that they don't treat him any differently even if he is regarded as one of the best musicians of his generation.
Speaking to Xfm, The Cribs frontman Ryan Jarman said: "It was really exciting when we first got together and started playing.
"It's still exciting as we have loads more songs to write, but he feels like such a part of the band, we just treat him like we treat each other."
And he revealed that despite the age gap between then, Marr isn't considered the "dad" of the band.
Jarman said: "Not at all, we're all on exactly the same level, If anything he kind of provokes us into stuff. Not into mischief, but he doesn't want us to get away from what we've always been, which is quite a chaotic band."
