Taking place at Glynde Place, East Sussex (near Brighton), the stunning location near the South Downs, over the three days of Friday 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July 2013, the Love Supreme Jazz Festival will, with four stages (a main stage, a unique green-field festival indoor floored and seated Jazz stage, a 'Discovery' stage and a dance stage) provide a diverse repertoire to engage the most serious jazz fan and general music lovers alike. Differing from other UK city based Jazz Festivals, just one ticket to the Love Supreme Jazz Festival will give fans access to all of the music provided on all four stages: over 40 acts, four stages, three days, one price.
Headlining on Sunday 7 July, the incredible Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra featuring Gilson Lavis will bring the festival to a spectacular close. For the past 20 years Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra have garnered a reputation for providing the best party atmosphere that music can offer. The performance will feature long-term guest vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall with special guest to be announced shortly.
The two-time Grammy-winner and charismatic bassist and composer Marcus Miller, renowned for his long association with Miles Davis and now a dynamic leader in his own right, has also been confirmed to perform.
The first act confirmed to perform on the special covered and seated Jazz Stage will be one of the most revered instrumentalists of his time, Branford Marsalis. As the Branford Marsalis Quartet, the three-time Grammy Award winner brings one of the finest Jazz Quartets today to play this unique stage at the debut Love Supreme Jazz Festival.
The Neil Cowley Trio, recently nominated as UK Jazz Artist of the Year for the first-ever Jazz FM Awards, will bring their deeply engaging and dynamic performance to the stunning Glynde Place location.
The festival will also play host to performances from alto-saxophonist Soweto Kinch, one of the UK's most exciting and versatile young musicians spanning both jazz and hip hop scenes, Bristol's country, soul, gospel and jazz infused Phantom Limb and Zara McFarlane the 28 year-old London vocalist.
