Junior Jack's name is synonymous with slamming house production and his latest release looks set to further verify his reputation as one of the world's true craftsmen. Already topping the Radio 1 playlist, 'Dare Me (Stupidisco)' is another sure-fire hit from one of the world's premier house producers.
The track was originally released back in 2004, but has remained a firm favourite with DJ's and clubbers alike until now. Newly reworked for 2007, the track features a filtered, twisted-electro sound, accompanied by a trademark bouncing bassline. Incorporating a powerful and catchy vocal performance from Shena (better known as the voice of Michael Gray's 'The Weekend'), it is a track that is sure to remain firmly lodged in every self-respecting clubbers skull and in every DJ's record box for some time to come. Junior Jack delivers the goods once again, with a floor-filling, up-tempo anthem, guaranteed to bring a smile to the lips of even the most hardened house-head
Vito Lucente, better known in clubland as Junior Jack has been producing killer house records since the early 90's. His first recording success under the name of Junior Jack was the single 'My Feeling', which reached the top spot of the European dance charts; a first for a Benelux-based producer. However, it was his next release, the bass-driven, peak time monster 'Thrill Me', that established Vito as a producer of significant talent. It also showcased the irresistible and infectious musical qualities that are now one of the trademarks of Junior Jack's unique sound.
The world clamoured for more and Junior Jack duly delivered. In 2003, under the name Room 5, he sat at the pinnacle of the UK singles chart for 4 weeks with 'Make Luv', a reworking of Oliver Cheatham's 1983 hit 'Saturday Night', which went on to sell over 500,000 copies worldwide. Meanwhile, the Junior Jack follow up to 'Thrill Me', the sun-drenched party anthem 'E-Samba', was voted summer anthem of 2003 by DJ Magazine at the Ibiza awards where Junior Jack and Kid Crème also picked up the award for best newcomer DJ's. He is now an established international DJ, headlining at numerous events around the world, not least of all playing for Defected at their weekly residency at Pacha during the summer 2007.
