Sencity London 2011, which takes place at IndigO2 at the O2 arena, is a multi-sensory event aimed at both deaf and hearing music and dance lovers. A promotional video is available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-pdQVuJtKM
Sencity goes way further than just music ' working on all the senses to create a great experience for both the deaf and the hearing.
There will be a vibrating dance floor which responds to the base frequency of the music.
Sign dancers, who visually interpret the music, will feature with Video Jockeys, and aroma-jockeys who spread different kinds of aroma into the area to convert the emotion of the music into smell.
In addition there will be free masseurs, hair stylists, makeup artists and circus performers.
Sencity began in 2003 in the Netherlands and has since recorded huge success in Belgium, Finland, Spain, Mexico, Jamaica, South Africa and Australia, but this is the first time it has taken place in the UK.
Doors open at 10.00 pm and the event finishes at 5.00 am on October 9.
Skyway Programs is an offspring of the project group that staged the inaugural event eight years ago in the Netherlands and it has since won several awards for its events.
