Aside from what Jessica Biel wore and Justin Timberlake performed, the biggest mystery surrounding the couple's nuptials has been whether the four other members of 'NYSNC were invited to the Italian wedding.
Well, as it turns out, no one from the singer/actor's boy band was asked to attend. But, according to Chris Kirkpatrick, Timberlake had a good reason: He didn't want the group's reunion to overshadow his big day.
"He didn't want the wedding to be an 'NSYNC reunion, and I totally understand that," Kirkpatrick told People magazine. "I already had plans to be in Italy anyway. It was just a coincidence that I was there when Justin got married. There's really nothing negative about any of it."
Many news outlets speculated that Kirkpatrick was the only 'NSYNCer present at the wedding, since he happened to be in Italy, but he actually had his own agenda for the trip: asking his lady love, marketing rep Karly Skladany, to marry him.
"We had a hotel room at the Isle of Capri, overlooking the Mediterranean," he said. "It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. And it hit me: I wanted to propose to Karly. So I ran to a jewelry store, found the perfect ring and bought it."
The 100 guests at Timberlake and Biel's wedding included Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg, Timbaland and Biel's "7th Heaven" co-star Beverley Mitchell. The Puglia wedding reception was DJ'ed by Roots drummer ?uestlove, who reportedly didn't spin any 'NYSNC tracks during the reception but did play some JT solo hits. "It's great to be married. The ceremony was beautiful, and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends," the couple shared in a statement shortly after tying the knot.
