Justin Timberlake has been nominated for six gongs at the MTV Video Music Awards 2013.
The full list of contenders for the annual awards ceremony was unveiled today with singer-and-actor Justin topping the list of nominees with an impressive six nods.
The star - who made a comeback with album The 20/20 Experience earlier this year- appears in several of the event's biggest categories, including Video of the Year and Best Male Video.
His Mirrors video earned him the respective nominations, while it also garnered nods in the Best Pop Video and Best Editing categories.
His Suit & Tie offering with hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is in the running for Best Collaboration and Best Direction.
Justin has got stiff competition from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who have also been recognised in six categories.
Their hit single Thrift Shop is up for Video of the Year, with their second chart offering Can't Hold Us landing several nominations for Best Hip Hop Video, Best Cinematography, Best Direction and Best Editing.
Their Same Love promo has earned them a nod in the Best Video with a Social Message.
Meanwhile, Bruno Mars has been named in four groups including Video of the Year, Best Pop Video and Best Male Video for his hit single Locked Out Of Heaven.
Pink, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus and 30 Seconds To Mars have each picked up three nominations.
Robin's storming number one hit Blurred Lines featuring T.I and Pharrell and Taylor Swift's I Knew You Were Trouble are all competing against Justin, Bruno and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for the coveted Video of the year title.
A whole host of stars including Calvin Harris, fun. and Kendrick Lamar all feature on the nominees list.
The MTV Video Music Awards 2013 will take place on Sunday August 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
