The former N Sync star said he has started huffing and puffing when getting up out of chairs and celebrated his birthday with a visit to the chiropractor.
'Back pain - that's all I know about the thirties so far,' he told US chat show host Jay Leno.
'I'm finding more and more that I have these involuntary noises that just come out of me. That's what I'm really noticing more about it.
'It's very specific actually. It's when I'm sitting down or when I'm trying to get up from sitting down.
'I actually inhale air and this random noise comes out of me, like I think that I'm ingesting helium and it's going to lift me off the seat.'
Timberlake stars alongside Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel in new movie Bad Teacher, which opens in the United States this weekend. Timberlake also stars alongside Mila Kunis in romantic comedy Friends With Benefits, due to be released next month.
